We understand how stressful it can feel not having a regular primary care provider. Across the South Island, thousands of individuals and families are waiting for attachment — and we want you to know there is a path forward.

All South Island Primary Care Society clinics attach new patients directly from the BC Health Registry.

If you are looking for a family doctor or nurse practitioner, registering on the BC Health Registry is the most important step you can take.

How It Works

1. Register on the BC Health Registry
   Add your name (and your family members) to the provincial waitlist.

2. Your Information Is Reviewed
   When space becomes available at one of our clinics, patients are selected directly from the Registry.

3. You Receive a Call
   If you are matched with one of our physicians or nurse practitioners, our team will contact you directly.

We are continuously onboarding new physicians and nurse practitioners across our clinics. In the past year alone, we have attached over 15,000 patients from the Registry — and we are not slowing down.

Important to Know

• The only way to be attached to one of our clinics is through the BC Health Registry.

• We do not maintain separate clinic waitlists.

• Being on the Registry ensures fair, centralized matching across the region.

• You only need to register once.
